Golden Boomerang Awards
Boomerang Partners, one of the leading Affiliate iGaming & Betting Marketing Agencies, invited their 30 best partners, selected VIPs, and Media Representatives to their prestigious Golden Boomerang Awards. The event was happening from 18. – 20. May in Milan and Affpal had the luck to be invited for our contribution to Affiliate Management. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience walking out of the player’s tunnel at the San Siro Stadium and having a meet and greet with the football legend Andrea Pirlo.
The side program
Boomerang partners took extremely well care of us. It started already with the travels, each participant got a concierge to get flights booked and organize the transport. It’s a good start when you are just landing, get greeted by a friendly face and transported in a luxury minivan instead of taking the shuttle bus. With the Westin Palace, an absolute luxury place was selected for our stay, and not only this, we got also some fantastic presents, including a jersey with our names. The evening was a rooftop party with a fantastic catering and entertainment program (the host knows his trade – as a side note from one host to another). The Boomerang Partners team was extremely friendly and took care that everybody had a great time. Talking to other guests showed that here was the absolute elite of the industry united. The next morning double double-decker buses arrived at the hotel to take us on a sight seeing trip. Milan has so much more to offer than just the dome! Here I could also catch up with Peaky Ads, the Media Outlet that produced the video about my life. The time until the awards, I took to catch up with work.
The award show
That’s really something to remember. Even when I am known for wearing my fancy Affpal Suits, it felt special to wear a smoking to the Golden Boomerang Awards. To my positive surprise, the shuttle bus I joined was filled beside a Boomerang Partners representative with German speaking Affiliates 🙂 When we arrived at the Stadion, we did the red carpet walk, and I also gave a quick interview. We visited the Backstage of the San Siro Stadium and came out like players into the spotlight directly next to the pitch, where an army of waiters were walking around with a Michelin Star Catering and drinks. The rain that hit the middle of the pitch gave it an even more surreal atmosphere. Before the awards started, we had the chance to meet football legend Andrea Pirlo. I didn’t took a picture myself with him, as I was busy taking plenty of Andrea and fellow VIP guest, SEO Expert Craig Campbell. The show program was absolute top notch. Breakdancers, Constumes that would put Lady Gaga to shame, a charity auction, and a singer that was perfect. Then the ceremony itself started and 11 winners of the Golden Boomerang awards received their trophies. DJ was spinning after that and we finished the night with a Podcast with Darina, from Boomerang Partners about perfect Affiliate Management. Summary of the Golden Boomerang awards 2025
I did around 400 meetups and events in this industry in the past 15 years, and in general the affiliate industry has a high standard, no matter the vertical. But what was happening at the Golden Boomerang awards was a different league. Organizing an event from that quality shows the dedication and professionalism this team has. I had the change to talk to around 20 of their top partners about business as well and they were all speaking in the highest regards about how their Affiliate Managers helped them scaling to new heights.
